Industrial fans, the textile industry encompasses a series of processes that add value to the fibre. The end product, which most of us see, is the result of complex industrial processes, which generally include the following main sequence of steps:
- Production of the fibres,
- Arrangement of the fibres into yarns,
- Generation of the raw fabric material, and
- Processing the fabric to make the finished product.
Each step in the textile production process demands precise control of ambient air humidity to maintain the quality and workability of the product. Therefore, the textile industry is required to use High-pressure Industrial fans for a variety of industrial applications where the complete reliability and performance of the product are significant.
Industrial Fans in the textile industry are used as the core of heat treatment machinery, as they help the fabric gain specific characteristics, even when treated with diverse chemical products. Both axial and centrifugal fans are suitable for various applications in the textile industry. While the low-pressure Centrifugal fans are used for Drying, Axial Fans are utilized to eliminate contaminated air from the interior of the plant. Industrial blowers are used to remove toxic fibers in the waste recovery and carding process. High-velocity blowers are particularly suitable for the spinning and drying process.
Industrial fans and blowers required by the Specific process, systems as well as related applications from the beginning to the end in the textile industry are mentioned below.
Spinning:
Spinning is the process of making textile fibers and filaments to form yarns, which are then woven into fabrics across the finishing processes, such as bleaching, to turn into textiles. The textiles are then fabricated into clothes or other products. The Centrifugal Direct Driven Fan is applied in the spinning process by using high-pressure spinning fans.
Drying:
Drying is necessary to remove or reduce the water content of fibers, yarns, and fabrics following the wet processes. Drying mainly involves water evaporation, which is a high-energy-consuming step. A flow of hot air is the proper solution for continuous drying. Therefore, high-temperature textile drying fans also known as hot blowers or dryer blowers, are employed in the drying process. The Conveyor Drying System and Drum Drying System are typically used to supply hot air to the fabrics.
In addition, the drum drying system has 2 types, which are conventional and suction drum drying systems, with a perforated surface for hot air to flow in and out which depending on the system. Both systems utilize pressurized steam conveying fans.
- A conventional drum drying system is to lower the air velocity to avoid overstretching.
- The suction drum drying system is able to use high air velocity without causing stretching damage to the fabric.
Finishing
‘Finishing’ includes various mechanical & chemical processes (i.e., washing, bleaching, dying, and coating, etc.) that add special technical properties or an aesthetic appeal to improve the acceptability of the finished fabric. These are energy-intensive steps. High-pressure industrial fans and blowers are employed in this process to convey high-pressure and high-temperature fluids, containing the right proportions of air, water, and additives to guarantee a proper treatment. They also give the tissue volume, dimensional stability, softening, and elasticity.
Ventilation of Technical Rooms:
A clean and safe working environment is a must for the efficient functioning of the textile industry. Industrial fans and blowers contribute to creating it by providing the correct ventilation required to control temperature and humidity levels. They also ensure the protection of the machinery, plant facilities, and buildings from corrosion, damage, and worsening.
Symbiosis Industrial Fans and Blowers can be used for the following applications in textile manufacturing:
– Preparation systems of the raw materials
– Continuous drying
– Fabric treatment
– Burners air supply
– Dust and textile waste collection systems
– Finishing machinery
– Specific treatment with chemical products
– Aerations of rooms
– Exhaust air removal
